> L&L Design Lab is an independent product studio that builds and runs its own AI-powered software. One product is live: merchbeautify, AI product photography for online sellers. Three more are in build for 2027, native on macOS, iPadOS, iOS and Android. No client or service work.

- What it does: AI product photos for sellers on any marketplace, not only print on demand. Upload a product, get listing-ready photos in minutes.

- AI in the product: image editing model (Nano Banana 2 via fal.ai) plus 2x upscaling, behind a Cloudflare Workers backend. The product is built and maintained with Claude Code.

### Draftvia (dv-02) — AI form prep for tax and application paperwork
- What it does: Upload your documents, answer guided questions, and get a completed draft, supporting files, and a submission checklist for the selected form. You review everything before sending.

### RenewLatch (rl-03) — subscriptions, trials and renewal alerts
- What it does: Shows what renews next, flags price changes, prepares cancellation requests, and tracks each cancellation to confirmation.

### ItinMend (im-04) — travel itinerary repair
- What it does: Share a booking change and get an updated itinerary, reminders, and ready-to-send messages for the rest of the trip.

## How we use AI
- Models do work inside the product: reading documents, understanding images, planning next steps. They are not a feature label.

## How we build
1. Notice. A gap we keep running into. Written down, sized, left for a week.
2. Build. Weekly releases, built in public from day one.
3. Ship, then decide. Live products earn their place. The rest are archived and the lessons kept.
